the wicked wind

sorry for the lack of updates-- hurrican Ike came through Sunday & did a number on our little town.  We had crazy wind that took out all the electricity-- there was only one place to get food, Brunos pizza, because they cook on gas... the line was way down the street!!!  
our Sunday & Monday night looked like this... thankfully we had a lot of candles.
our poor little town.  We lost a lot of really nice big trees.
it definently has made me appreciate electricity.  You don't know how good you had it till its gone...

but we are back in business.  Despite the Miami students rioting last night because they had to go to classes today & many still don't have electricity... our electricity returned to us early this morning just in time for me to dry my hair :)
