Cities are the place where culture is created and flows out of. Everything else gets affected by the culture that originates in the cities. Cities are what are shaping the rest of the world. To influence a city is to influence the world. My heart jumps at being in the city and what that means."Yes we are weak & heavy laden. But, there burns in every heart, at least from time to time, a dream that our lives will count for something great" (Seeing & Savoring Jesus Christ, Piper). God delivers us from small dreams and timid ventures and hulting plans (Piper).
